Butler has purchased Faugh-a-B.illagh, and the horse ran in that gentleman's interest today. The price was £150. Local Handicap. Mr J. Leopold's Giriri 1 Mr A. Goodwin's Lifebuoy 2 Mr S. Leopold's Grand Duko 3 Fabrication, Pink Rose, Leonista, Ftiher- | man, and Juliet also ran. Won rather easily by a. length and a half. Time, 2tnim. 19secs. Dividend : Inside, £15 8s; outside, £11 14s. Wellington R.C. Handicap of 300dovs. Mr T. H. Hill's Pasha 1 Mr W. Douglas's Waitiri 2 Mr R. H. Vallance's Salvage 3 Armourer and Rubezahl also ran. Time, 3mius. 13secs. Dividends : Inside, £5 5s ; outside, £4 os. The Oavairt Race op lOsov, one mile and a half, was won by Trooper Dwan'u Woolman. The Selling RaCE was won by Reputation (late Orphan Boy) who beat three others. Consolation Handicap of 50sovs. Mr R. H. Vallance's Salvage 1 Mr T. H. Hill's Rumour 2 Mr H. D. Bradley's Athol Daisy . . 3 Revolver, Silence, and Ugly Buck also ran. Time, lmiu. 48£secs. Dividends: Inside, £2 14s; outside, £2 18s. The amount of money put through tho machines to-day was £6822, making a total of £13,707 for the two days.
