THOROUGH OF HAMILTON. NOTICB l» HEREBY GIVKX, that at ft SPECIAL MEETING of the HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL duly convened in uccordirtice with " The Municipal Corporations Act," I^7o, and the Amendments thereof, and held at the Onincil Chambers on the sth February 18815, the. following resolutions were adopted, viz. :—: — The Mayor moved— "That iv uumuance of the resolution unanimously passed by the burgesses, at the public meeting, held on tho 2nd February, 188b', the Council do hereby resolve by special order to piocead to ia,ise a loan of £G',ooo for the undermentioned pui poses," viz. ; — 1. "To erect public buildings, to cost about £2,000." 2. "To pay off tbo overdrafts at the bank of the Boiough Fund Account, and to lend to the Domain Board Account and the Cemeteries Tmst Account, about £1,000." 3. "To improve the lands about to be handed over by the Government, together with others, about £1,000." 4. " For the further improvements required, which will be decided upon at a future date by the Burgesses, about £2000, and that immediate action be taken to biing this proposal before the Burgesses in accordance with the "^Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and Amendments thereof." That this resolution be now adopted, and a special meeting of burgesses be held on FRIDAY, the sth Match, 1886, to confirm the same. Dated at Hamilton, this sth day of February, 1880". J. M. T3OROUGH OF HAMILTON. Notice under the " Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and the Amendment thereof. TAKE NOTICE.— That tho Council of the Borougb of Hamilton in compliance of the above Act hereby publish. 1. That the Council propose to raise a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000), for the following purposes, viz :— (a) For the erection of Public Buildings. (b) For the improvement of lands about to be banded over by the Government and other lands in the Borougb. (c) For paying off the overdraft of the Borough General Account, the Domain Board Account, and the Cemeteries Trust Account. (d) For the further improvement of the Borough, which will be decided by the burgesses at a future dute. 2. That in order to carry out the above proposal the Council has decided to borrow the above amount for a period of fifty years, for the repayment of which sum, with current interest, a special rate of ninepence in the £ will bo struck and levied, and given as security on all rateable property in the borough ; appropriation buildings, about £2,000; improvement of lands, about £1,000 ; payment of overdrafts, about £1,000; further improvements to be decided, £2,000.
