The Samoan Delegates. Auckiaxd, Monday Night. Thb S.unoan delegates have returned «md express themselves satisfied with the treatment they receded whilst in Wellington.

The Gas Company. The Gas Company declared a dividend of 17i per cent. The directors decline to entertain proposal to water stock.

The Auckland Grammar School. The three professors appointed to report on the Auckland Grammar School, report generally in favourable terms except a scheme of changes in the clasbification interested.

Ordination Service. An ordination service of two Maori clergymen was held this> morning at St. Mary's Church. A large number of the members of the General Synod were present, including the Primate and Bishops of Nelson, Auckland, Wellington, Waiapu, Uunedin, and Melanesia', also about 30 clergy, besides Maoii clergy. A very eloquent sermon in Maori was preached by the Bihhop of Wellington, and the ordination service was taken by the Bishop of Auckland. Hymna were sang in English and Maori to the same times. There was a very large number of communicants. The Bishop ordained J. Dewaon, and J. Priest, the former being a chief of Waiheke Inlands, and the latter the principal chief of the extieme north of New Zealand. Bishop Cowie has now 14 Maori clergy, of whom 12 have been ordained by himself. They are maintained by a fund mainly contributed by Maori congregations themselves. j
