Melbourne, January 22. Alexander Lav ranee, teller in the City of Melbourne Bank was arrested by thp. police yesterday on a charge of embezzling £170, the property of the bank. Accused ?confessed that he had embezzled , altogether over £900 by manipulating the mutilated notes account. Laurence was formerly in the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland.
