[BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Christchurch, Friday Night.

At the Weslcyim Conference, to-day, the motion for giviug lay representatives the right to attend as visitors at the Ministerial sitting, was lost. Telegraphic greetings were received from New South Wales and South Auotralia. The Conference decided to send a congratulatory reply, aud that a similar telegram be sent to the Victorian Conference. The Rev. Griffiths and Notts, probationers, were ordered to remain on probation for annthir year. The Rev. Jonea and Otto Christophersen were recommended for ordination.

The services in the Wesleyan Church, Hamilton, are advertised in another column. Mr H. Cowper advertises he is prepared to keep tradesman's books and collect accounts, and has his office at the shop of 41 rJ. S. Bond, Duke-street, Cambridge. Mr J. S. Buckland will sell on Saturday, the | 30ch, at Cambridge, under bill of sale, korses, i harness, &c., &c. Also, on account of a client leaving Cambridge, a large quantity of luroitnre. \ On Thursday next he will sell at Ohaupo, Here < ford cattle by pure bulls, fat cattle, dairy cows, tic. Also, four-year-old colt by President, and other well-bred horse stock, implements, Btc, Ice. On Friday, the 26th February, he will sell at Piako, for Mr Murr.iv, Lincoln and merino sheep, cattle, horses, implements, furniture. Ice.
