Melbourne, January 14. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company hold their usual weekly sale this afternoon, when a catalogue comprising some 1,750 bales were submitted for sale, cornpetitionbeing animated. Greasy merino realised 10 Jd ; scoured wools, lod. and washed, 12$&.
Friday. The men broueht over from New Zealand by the Waihora have been distributed among the various shipowners, there being only a few absentees when called upon.
Sydney, January 15. The cooks aud stewards here are ia accord with the striker's, and giving them considerable support. The Sydney shipowner's are unanimous in their determination not to give way further. The developments of the dispute are anxiously awaited
