MR BRADLAUGH TAKES HIS SEAT. London, January 13.
Upon the assembling of Parliament to-day, Mr Bradlaugh, member for Northampton, advanced to the table, and was sworn in in the usual manner. The Speaker read a letter he had received from Sir Michael HicksBeach, the leader of the Government, in the Lower Fiouse, urging him not to allow Mr Bradlaugli to bo sworn, but the Speaker ruled that he was bound to ignore the 1 otter, as any resolution of the former Parliament had no authority to bind the present one. Sir M. Hicks-Beach attempted to make some remai-ks, but he was stopped by the Speaker, who ruled that as he had not been sworn he was not entitled to speak.
