Pakuoa, Monday 8 p.m. ' Further information from the scene of the five at Owharoa shows that seven buildings have been totally de&troyed and others more or le&s injured. The insurances known are : Wash's Hotel, £1000 ; Hosies' btore, £725 ; Reids Hotel (unoccupied) £300. Tho total loss is estimated at above £3,200. The inhabitants of the township are chiefly men, and they have taken possession pro tern, of the whares and huts that are about the district.
