LONDON' WHEAT AND WOOL MARKETS. London, January s.— Adelaide wheat, off the oast, is 6d lower, and « quoted at 303 per 4801bs. ; ditto, ex warehouse, 39s for 49(51b9. New Zealand wheat ranges from 28s to 375, according to grade. The wool market ia quiet in tone. Up to the piesent time 130,000 bales are to hand for January and February sales, which commence on the lGth instant.

MELBOURNE WOOL SU.ES. Melbourne, January 7.—The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) held their weekly wool sale at their rooms thia afternoon. A representati\o catalogue of feome 3800 bales was submitted for auctiou. The attendance of buyeis was^large, and the various lots elicited an animated competition. The market generally was active at late rates. Greasy merinos sold up to 10|d per lb. ; and scoured wools, to Is fld ; while washed wools were firmer, and realised as much as Is per lb.
