Peter's school, Hamilton, assemble! at th- 1 Public Hall, at 10 o'clock and under the cue of Mr Logio, the superintendent, wenconducted to Mr Jolly's padd-ick near the Like, when the d.iy wan passed in a very pleasant manner. Ample refreshmentwere pro\id>-d and games of all »orts \vcr> ficely indulged m. The nninber of cbil dren pre-ent was about 150, and many oi the parents and friends joined in the fostiuties. The children of the Presbyterian Church, Xpraruawahia, were entertained in the paddocks and orchard of Mr James, kindly placed in their disposal by that 3entU>man.
