Indeed, they have succeeded in bringing the name of M.ttamat.i so prominently before tho sporting world tliat its reputation as a holiday resort m»y now claim to be permanently established. The d.iy will commence with the athletic sports, including a well-selected programme of eight different event*. Among these tho tug of w.ir between the hands of tho M.itatuata estate, and the workmen ot the Thames Valley and Rotorua Railway should be one of tho mo>t interesting. The programme of the horso races includes eight events, for which goo^ prizes are given. The entries h^ve already been published, and indicate largo and promining fields. The refreshment booth hns been given over to Mr Frank Ro«.a, of Oxford, a sufficient guarantee for the cv
