Milk From Ensilage-fed Cows.

At a recent meeting of the SWpton Local Board— Mr. It. H. Sidgwiek preairiing — the chairman reported that analyses had been receded of milk taken from cows fed on the board's ensilage and sen,t by the board to Mr. Alfml 11. AJlcd, public analyst, of Sheffield. It showed that tho sample had the following composition :— Fat 340 per cant., casein and albumen 3 70, milk-sugar 5.47, mineral matter *73 ; total of col d matter 13 30, water BC-CA. The specific gravity of the {•ample was 1033 2. These results showed that the milk was of a ve'y superior quality. The board have already lold about twenty tons of enailage. j
