RUfeES AND CONDITIONS.

All Horse Races to be run in colonis (a scarf, band or cap being suflicieut), which must be declared at time of entry. In the Athletic Sporti the usual rules will be strictly adhered to, and three competitors to start or no race. All entries for the foot races to be accompanied by tlie entrance money, and sent in to tho Secretary on or befoie .") p.m. on the 21st December ne\t Handicaps will be declared on the giound. Horse Rnces Nos 2 and 1, and Foot Races Nos. 1 and T>, arc confined to subhcribeis living within the Matamata Road Hoard District, or working en the T.V. and Kotorua Railway. Horses eutcicd lor the District Races must have been m the district and owned by or in charge of the persons cntciing them, for .it least three monthi immediately prior to the date foi closing the entries. Nominations for the first M\' Horse Races will be received by the handicapper, Mr R. Kiikwood, Kuk wood's Hotel, Cambridge, until S p.m. on Saturday, 12th December. Weights will be published in The Waikato Times on l.")th or 17th December. Acceptances and general entries to be in the hands of the Secretary by 3 p m. on the 21st December. Entrance fee to be forwarded with nomination, together with colour*, age, and pei formances of horses 1 hiee Horses to start in each lace or no race. No entry will be received for any of the raws except upon the further conditions : "That .ill disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the committee piesent, or those whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final " All protests must be made in writing within twenty minutes from the conclusion of the race (disputed), and must be accompanied by a deposit of £1, which will be forfeited to the racing funds should the committee consider the protest fuvolous or vexatious.
