No sheep were sold, and a lot of good pig* brought 11s each.
Mb Ar.KRED Buckl\nd's Rbfokt.—At j the Haymarket on Friday, December 11, fodder was better worth, and sold from_ 3-. 6d to 5s per cwt; oats, 2s id to 2s 5d ; maize, 3s Gd per bushel. Horse stock weie yarded in full number*. Useful draught ranged from £12 to i'-20 ; riding horses, £2 to £10. At the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, broken bales, dump* and bags of wool were plentiful. Puces ranged from 4d to 6Jd per lb. The greater part brought ."i^d. Ijijcks and pieces, fioin Id to 3d ; hides, m less number than umal, from 2\d to 3^d per lb; tallow, lls (id to 13s (>d per cwt; station skins, 7d t« 2s »«i each. At the wool sale on Wednesday, 330 bales were sold. Prices for best longwool, . r )\d ; cross-bred, 5W to (id ; merino, (id to (i£d per lb. At rf>keno on Monday, there was a large muster of cattle than at any time for a twelvemonth. Prices wore fair throughout, and at Drury on Wednesday, there was also n full nnwter of cattle, with a large attendance i»f buyers. Late prioes for stole cattle wero fully sustained. Dany cattle, at their nruhfc, better worth. At Remiicri, on Thursday, dairy cattle woie in usual supply only, but dull of sale. Store cattle main tamed their late values. Fat cattle plentiful, and at lower rates. Good cows sold relatively better, but steers were much lower. From 17n to 18s for Auckland fatted cattle and Ills for shipborne were the ruling prices obtained. Sheep, in moderate number, were at last week's values. Lambs wei c no better worth, and pigs of all classes low in price.

Competition was good throughout tho sale, notwithstanding that most of the tho horse* were local ones, and that it was known a large lot wero coming foiward from the West Coast. We quote hacks from £."> 10s to £1"); draught horses, from £20 to £28. Wool, hides, and .skins : Thero was some 3.">0 bales and bags pitched at the Durham wool loft on Thursday. The usual buyers wern in attendance, and prices were a shade higher, longwool, greasy, selling at from 5d to (id per lb. ; merino, (id to o'4d per lb. Cattle: The supply of all descriptions have been adequate for requirements, and prices generally ha\e been in favour of the vendor. The Newmarket Yuid» wero well supplied on Tuesday. Competition was steady, but there was no upwaid tendency in \aluo, only a few prime animals reached 20< per lOOlbs. Stores were a shad" lower in value, but dairy cows were- without alteration in value. Sheep: Quite an aver.ige number have been brought forward, <tnd prices varied considerably without improving tho position of the vendors. A very large number of lambs wore yarJed on Tuesday, and a decline in value was the consequence, prices ranging from 4s (id to 10n. Pig-? were plentiful, and coatso bred animals wero cheap, but good porkers maintained the previous week's values.
