London, December 5. The total number of members elected up to the present is fjliO. The Liberals have a majority over the Conservatives of 54. A Press Association message, dated London, December sth, says : —Tho latent, election returns give the Liberals 282, the Conservatives 228, and Parnellites 59. The Conservatives havo been chiefly successful m the home counties. Mr Parnell has been elected for Govan, and the Right Hon. Sir W. Hart-Dyke has been returned for Dartford.
London, December n. The Liberal candidates continue to triumph in the fanning counties. Foi Lankshire the Conservatives only secured two seats out of seven. For Invernesshire Mr C. F. Mclntosh, the representative of the crofters, has defeated Sir Kenneth Mackenzie; and Mr McLeod, a crofter can didate, has secured the Argyllshire seat. The elections will finish on Wednesday next, the 9th inst.
London, December 5. Among the members who have lost their seats at tho present elections are Sir Wilfred Law-son, Sir Farrar Herschcl and Mr J. B. Burleigh. A Press Association message, dated London, December 6, says :—Th« Liberals have secured 2(Xi seats m England, 25 m Wales, 58 in Scotland, and 1 in Ireland ; and the Conservatives havo obtained 214 in England, 3 in Wales, 9 in Scotland, and 17 in Ireland. Sir Samuel Wilson was rejected by 14G1 votes. The Hon. K. Stanhope has been elected, the Hon G. C. Daveuay and Mr E. D. Grry (a Home Ruler) have rejected. Mr T. M. Healy (Home Ruler) has been returned for Derry.
