An* interesting libel case on the ciiminal principle will hoitly emio before tho Canibndge K.M. Couit. The parties to tho action are .1 certain John Mnnro Fra/.ei, described as a nathe ngent, on the one hand, and Ngaknru, Tim Waatsi, K.ipu Kolnka to Paehau, .and Ngatnti Hoani, aboriginal natives of New Zealand, on tho other. Mi I'' razor -.ots forth in his information that the natives named did, in the City of Wellington and elsewhere in tho colony of New Zealand, unlawfully and m tlioiously publish a certain false, scandalous, nialbiou->, and defamatory lioel of and concerning him in a certain telegraphic message despatched by them to the chairman of the Native Affairs Committee at Wellington. The language or statements taken exception to by Mr i'razer accused him of having forged the names of certain natues to a petition against the working of the Native Land Court. The ca«e comes on for hearing at Cambridge on the 11th December.
