At 1 o'clock the mi^ioner gave an addre-s to men on the foundation of religion, Hebrews VI., 1 and 2. At the evening service Mr Mason preached from I Samuel, XV, 22, pointing out in clear ,md fotctblo language th.it what God required was tho sacrifice of thn will. The " instruction " was on " The Holy Spirit in tho Church ; the divinity, personality, and work of the Holy Spirit through the Church, the body of Christ. 1 ' Thero was a, very large congregation, the c.ipacity of tho building being severely taved. Yesterday, the open air address to men took tho shapo of n declaration of the inissxiner'n own faith. In the afternoon he continued his remarks on the Sacraments of the Church, .md in the evening the usual *oi nion was omitted, the nnsMoner substituting a commentary on the (>lst chapter of Isiiah, do ihng w ith the objects «f Christ's mission. The " instruction" was on the subjoct of "The Church." Ho dvvult at considerable length on the origin, character and pur poses of the church. There was agun a large congregation, every seat in the church being occupied. During the day, a^ ro quested, a large nuir.ber of people visited the niiHsioner in the vestry. Todiy, Mr Mason leives by the 1.20 train for tho Aroha. Thero will bo a thanksgiving communion .service at thn church at 7.30 a.m., and the missjoner will deliver the last of his open air addresses to men at 12.1/5 p.m.
