CAMBRIDGE PUBLIC SCHOOL ANNUAL SPORTS.
The second annual xports in connection with the Cambridge Etst School worn held in the Government paddock on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance of tho children and their parents and fiiemjii, and the weather was bright and favourable throughout. Every arrange ment was made for the thorough enjnymont of the children, and tho various events were keenly contested, and excited considerable intrrcst. The idea of holding these sports in connection with tho school was woll conceived, being something for tho children to louk forward to, and, judging by the attendance on Satin day, theoccision i* ono very popular with tho parents and the public generally. Mr Stewait, tho headmaster of thn school, is entitled to very great credit for his successful efforts to entertain his pupils and the efforts of his assistants in tho same direction must also bo mentioned.
