Tiik Rev. «t. E. M.ison, the missioner, arrived at Hamilton by yesterday'-* train. Ho was met at the station by the Key, R. O'C. Bigg*, H. S. JUvies, Messrs .Sande- .mil Le l^uissiie, church wai dens, and several othur membeis of the congregation, whi» lunched with tho lev. gentlenun at the Parsonage. There wan a laigo congregation and a pretty full choir. During the sol \ ice the follow ing hymns weic sung, the congregation joining heaitily in the .singing:— "Onw.ud Chi istian Soldiers" (Sullivan), sungasa procusoional ; "' Come, Holy Spirit,' " Rock of Age-, ' and " Art tlmu weary." Tlie rev. misMunur, taking a^ hia text the uouK: " If any man will como after me, let him deny himself, and lake lip his cross daily and follow me" (Luke \\., 2.*), delivered an elorjiitMit and practicil iidihe-w on the \irtue of HMf denial, pointing out that this virtue was of the first importance in order to the attainment of -ahation. At the clo-e of the service Mi Mason spoke- in a familiar manner fiom the body of the church on the love of (!od. The .service to-day and also to-morrow (Friday), will be as advertised, namely, holy communion, 7.30 a.m. ; addresi to men (open air), 12. 15 p.m. ; address to women, intci cessions and evensong, 3 p.m. ; mis-ion Venice and address, 7.30 p.m.
