The results being to hand .1 few weeks since, the following is a digest of the report of the assay :— The manager states that tins sample^ being so mixed, he was compelled to make three lotb of them. Weight. Copper. IT>. per cent. Xo. 1, Metallic Copper 43 !>7 No. 2, Copper and Oie mixed H4 70 Xn. 3, Sulphide Oio 2.W 10 M The quality of the ni.ilen.il i^ thus described : -Coppei (dry), a*>.iy 13'<>0 i>er cent; silver, \»a. per ton : sulphur, 20 1)2 per cent ; nieUUic mm, 2.">"7<> per cent ; insoluble, 11.20 per cont. A most liupoitant further discovery has recently been made in connection with this company's pi operty. On good authority it is stated that in cutting the tr.umv.iy np the United Cieek a splendid lode of Yellow Ore (Milphide of copper) was accidentally met with, and a-, the lode thus di-coveied is at a level some 800 feet below the uppet vvoikmg, ltsdi-coveiy indicate the existence of an innnense body of stone, it is of the greatest importance The tendereis for carting up to the machine iite between 400 and -"JOO tons, of material, including machinery, bricks, coke, timber, ke, are pu-lnng on with great eneigy, and have neaily compLtfd the ta-k.
