Hlxtkh & Co. report :— On Monday, at Xgaruatvahia, there was a very large muster of stock ; the pens could only accommodate about two-thirds of the cattle brought forw ard. There wan also a large attendance of buyers from all parts of Waikato. Cattlo made fully Ohaupo prices, and nearly every beast sold at satisfactory prices to owners. Mr Pattersons stock, implements, &c, made gor>d prices. All were of a good class, and although an extremely wet day, there was a lartre attendance of buyers. Many more cattle entered would have been brought forward had the day Ix-en fine, ;il*o many buyers w ere kept back. There vvas good competition right through the sale, and although it lasted until dusk, there was spirited bidding to the end, only t>m draft of cattle (42 head) was held over for next sale. For dairy cows of any class there was good enquiiy and nearly all sold. Young cattle were a shade lower, also 1J and two-year-old wteeis, but for grown nteers for fattening purposes there was a slight rise. LiTKi.\si> Rhi'Oiirs.— At the Halo of furniture &c held at To Awamutu on Saturday last, there was rather a small attendance of purchasers, butall lots offered vv ere sold though the price realised in many instances w as low. A useful waggon pair of horses and harness was aold for £54. At Kihikihi on Wednesday, all thn tottn section* adt^rtised with the exception of two were leased at the auction, and in some instances brought more than the upset price. At Cambridge cattle and horse sale Thursday, there was" an unusually large attendance of settlers from all parts of tho country. The cattle yards were filled and there were from HO to !K) horses entered. Aryshire cattle commanded considerable attention and were keenly competed for.
