A Wi- r.\ vn Home Mission meeting was held in tho Public Hall hue on Thursday last. The attendauco was good, neatly all tho residents being present. The Rev. J. Dellow read the financial statement fm the past year and introduced tho Rev. W. (fittos, who give a most interesting account of his :$0 yeirs life among tbo Maoris. He wa-, listened to tluougliont with the greatest attention, and left the best impression with Ins audience. Tnc collection taken up at the close of tlio mooting amounted to £1 11s <kl. At tho conclusion of the Home Mission service tl.o Hall Committee met and decided to add to tho piosent building a room 22ft. \ 12ft., with a fireplace. This will save much inconvenience 111 piepnung refreshments, boiling kottlen, tec, fm entertainments. Those who pationne the Hukanui concerts can always get tea m coffee, sandwiches, fee, at 10 p.m., nnd during tho dnnce following, refreshment*' aro always available. Theio h, I believe, to be a conceit here on the 17th instant, when tho moon will suit for travelling at any time of tho night. — (Correspondent.)
