Medium active draught are the class principally in demand. There was no alteration in values for late markets. At the hide and skin sale, on Tuesday, 27th, hides tanged with qtuhty from l^d to 3jd the Hi. ; tillow, from 13s ltd to 18s the cwt. : sheepskins, lOd to 3s Id each. At the cattle sale, .it Papakura, on Wednesday, 2Sth, there wasa small muster of htock, principally young stools. There was a g<;od enquuy .it late values. At Rrmuora- on Thursday, d.my cows wcie plentiful .md at late values. Store cattle in moderate supply and in bcttu inquiry, particularly yearling to two year steers. Fat cattle in average supply, but many of indifferent quality. Inferior quality was lower in price, from 10s to 15s each, and prime beef scarcely maintained last week's \. ilues, prices ranging from 20s to 22s the 1001 bs. Stoic sheep in moderate supply and fair enquiry. Fat sheep dull of sale at List week's values. Fat lambs abundant and lower in price, about 2s each ; good quality ranged from 8s to 11s, medium from (is. Pigs, in less number than of late, maintained their valuer. Messrs. Hcntek \\d Nomn\ Wfkkj/t Hkport.— Horses : The market has continued quiet, and Mjarcoly an a\erage number changed hands without alteration in value. The usual number of local nmnuls were nubmitted by auction at the Jliuham Yardd on Fuday, and most of them found purchasers at the previous wcek'ri valuer. Woo], hidei, skins, and tillow without alteration in value. Cattle : <,!<ute an average number has been biought forward. The demand for young Hteers has not been quite ho keen, but there ha>» been no sensible alteration in value of any description of stock. The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday. Purchasera were in attendance for all descriptions at the previous week's values, with the exception of a few pens of ' steers held over for the fair on Wednesday. Hheep were in adequate supply and corresponding demand, consequently values weie unalteed. Lambs were aMiade dearer at per stono, although l.~w Od each was the highest price obtained. Pigs were less plentiful than on tho previous week. For good porkers there remained an iinsatisfied demand, but stores wero in sufficient number for requirement*. Prices ranged from '2\tl to 3\d per lb., live weight. MMnlis G. W. BiNNEV AND Co. report tint at their hide, skin, wool, and t illow sale, held last Tuesday, a largo supply came to hand, and tbo bidding throughout was , brisk.
