WESLEYAN HOME MISSION.
On Sunday, October 11th, sermons were preached iti the Wesleyan Chapel, Raglan, on behalf of the Wesleyan. Home Mission Fund, by the Rev. Win. Gittos. In tin* morning at 11 a.m. tho rev. gentleman preached an eloquent find impressive hpitnon to tho Kngluh congregation. In the evening at h.ilf-p.i'-t 8U ho preached to the MroriH, who ovidontly appreciated tho Keivice. Mr (iittoa also pleached in the Te Mata School-room .it half-past two. On Mond.iy evening a public Homo Minnionnry meeting w«ih held in the Rugl.tn Church. Mr J. N. Pegler, J. P., Presided. The chniiman delivered an nble addre.sn, in which he enpeciallv cndeavouied to impiem upon the mindM of tho audience the need ofcainefltpractic.il Christ l.vuity. A nliort leport wa» read by Mr Htophcix-oii, the circuit iniK*ionary. Tho Hey. Win. <»itto-< then addreHHcd the meeting, and succeeded in thoioughly interesting the audience. He rolated iome striking instances which had come under hi* own notice to show that the MaoiH had been gi-eafciy benefited when they had accepted ChrUtiamry, Ho afterwards addressed the natives who were pre■ent in their own language. Mr bteponson then briefly addressed the meeting urging upon the jwople the nocebsity of contributing m umcb as they were ab}e tv the fund,
and also of consecrating thpiriselves to the lervico of Christ.
