This blanch is equal to an output of 120,0001b5. per diem, and the Company has the greatest confidence in recommending its PRESERVED MEATS As superior to anything of the kind heretofore offered to the public. The Company would specially call attention to the fact that the COMPRESSED CANNED BEEF AND MUTTON, riCKKD IN THE syrARE CAN (The right to which is patented), is the first sample from any part of the world that lias been able to compete successfully in the London Market with the best Chicago brands. Hitherto the Colonial meats packed in the ionnd cans, although called compressed meats, were only saleable m the English mirkets were a low price was the first consideration, but meats of the New Zealand Packing Company, submitted in competition for Admualty supplies at Deptford Dockyard, were awarded the highest commendation, and placed on the register of accepted brands. The following extract fioin the letter of the Company's Agents in London, the New Zealand Loan and Meicantile Agency Company (Limited), is referred to, who write as follows : — "We h.i\e the pleasure to hand you herewith an extract from a letter received from the War Omce, Army Department :— " Samples of the Peach Brand of the New Zealand Packing Co.. submitted by you, h.uebeen tested and proved, and the Brand will be added to the Selected List of the Defarement. " This now entitling you to the privilego of coiniH'tmtr, we theiefore tendeied on your behalf at <io> 3d per 1121b; and to-day wer* gratified to hear that the offer h.id been accepted, notwithstanding thut it wajQd per cwt. higher than the leading American brands, bhowiug that the quality was fully appreciated." Consequeut upon the temporary stoppage of production during the transfer of the Compiny's Meat preserving Works from Auckland to Waitara, and owing to the fact that the rcservp which had been relied upon to meet current demands was taken by the New South Wales Government for the Soudan expedition, the Company has been unable to comply with numeious demands from customers, but is now prepaied to execute with promptitude all orders with which it miy be favoured. WHOLESALE BUTTER DEPOT. The Company is about to open a laige Wholcale Butter Depot at their Freezing Works, Railway Wharf. Cooling Chambers and the necessary plant are now being prepared. It is antic.pated that with the appliances, cold-air chambers, and facilities for dealing w itW the ever increasing surplus the Company will be able to offer A regular and satisfactoiy maiket for Dairy Produce The Company's Manngi'is of this branch are cash purchasers of Prime Butter and Fresh Eijgs Comiuunicitions may at once bo addressed to them. The Dnectors being very desirous of satisfying the public as to tho genuineness of their Mnnuit's have lerjuested Prof. Brown, of the Auckland Univerntv, to act as their Analyst, and he has agreed to certify to the Analysis of Superphosphates. The Company will difiay the cost of any Analysis of Manures purchased direct from them and duly sampled, the tcsult of which may be proved to fall helow theguarm. teed standard, and also allow 4s (id per ton per unit for the deficiency. Samples and further information may be obtained at the Works, Otahnhu, or at the Otlice, Railway Wharf. STORING. Tin* Storks have a line of rail running through the building to the end of the Railway Whaif, so that all cartage, either by rail or by vessel, is axoided.
