WHOLESALE MEAT MARKET AND SHIPPING DEPOT Is now open at the Company's Woiks at the Railway vVhari, where Town and Country orders w ill be attended to with the utmost promptness and despatch. The Company enn lefer with confidence to the superior quality of its Prim Meat, as selected for the maiket from laige quantities of first-class West Coast stock, dealt with at the Cwnp.uiy'b Work's, Waitara. SALT BEEF. Special attention isditectcd to the Company's brand in this line, which, with the taeilities affoidfd by the cold-air process, can be cured in mild pickle, and the necessity of cutting up in Miiall pieces obviated. As contractors for H.M. Navy, her* and in Sydney, laige stocks ate kept on hand BACON-CURING. The Cooling Chambers for Bacon curing at the Company's Works in Auckland arc now so far advanced that this New Industry has been commenced, and choice Ham* vm> IHcon cm be offeted, cured on the most modern principle. MEAT-PRESERVING. This bianch is equal to an output of 120,0001b5. per diem, and the Company haa the greatest confidence in recommending its PRESERVED MEATS As superior to anything of the kind heretofore offered to the public. The Company would specially call attention to the fact that the COMPRESSED CANNED BEEF AND MUTTON, I'ACKFD IN THE .SQUARE CAN (The right to which is patented), is the first sample from any part of the world that has been able to compete successfully in the London Maiket with the best Chicago biands. Hitheito the Colonial meats packed in the ronnd cans, although called compressed mcat3, were only saleable in the English markets were a low price was tho fiist consideration, but meats of the New Zealand Packing Company, submitted in competition for Admiralty supplies at Deptford Dockyard, were awarded the highest commendation, and placed on the register of accepted brands. The following extract fiom the letter of the Company's Agents in London, the New Zealand Loan aud Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), is referred to, who write as follows : — "We have tho pleasure to hand yon herewith an extract from a letter received from the War OHicp, Army Department :— " Samples of the Peach Brand of the New Zealand Packing Co., submitted by you, have been tested and proved, and the Brand will be added to the Selected Li'-t of the Depareinent." This now entitling you to the privilege of competing, we therefore tendeied on your behalf at 60s 3d per 1121b; and to-day were gratified to hear tint the offer h,id been accepted, notwithstanding that it ivasOd per cwt. higher than the leading Anieiican biands, showing that the quality was fully appreciated."' Consequeut upon the temporary Btoppagc of production during the transfer of the Compiny's Meat preserving Works from Auckland to Waitara, and owing to the fact that the rese j rve which had been relied upon to meet current demands was taken by the New South Wales Government for the Soudan expedition, the Company haa been unable to comply with numerous demands from customers, but is now prepared to execute with piomptitude all orders with which it may be favoured. WHOLESALE BUTTER DEPOT. The Company is about to open a large Wholesale Butter Depot at their Freezing Woiks, Railway Wharf. Cooling i hambers and the necessary plant are now being picpaicd. It is anticipated that with the appliances, cold air chambers, and facilities for dealing with the ever increasing surplus, the Company will be able to offer & regular and satisfactory market for Dairy Produce The Company's Managers of this branch are cash purchasers of Prime Butter and Fivsli Ei?g* Communicilious may at once he addressed to them. The utmost caie will be taken in the selection of Butter for table use. This will be made up fiesh eveiy moiuing. As early as possible, wholesale orders of Butter will be dehveied in lefiigeiating carts, sc that retailers will be all<* to obtain a day* biipply each moiiimir, and householders, by insisting upon being supplied with the Company's Brands of Buttet, will obtain a table de-licacy throughout the year, flic department will be uuder the management of Messrs Glanville and Ellyett, whose Butter Business is being taken over by the Company. ACID AND MANURE WORKS. The Directors being very desnons of satisfying the public as to the genuinenest of their Manures, have requested Prof. Brown, of the Auckland Univerritv, to act as their Analyst, and he has agreed to certify to the Analysis of Superphosphates. The Company will defray the cost of any Analysis of Manures purchased direct from them and dul} sampled, the result of which may be proved to fall below theguarau. teed blmdard, and also allow 4s (Jd per ton per unit for the deficiency. Samples and fuither information may be ohtaiued at the Works, Otahuhu, or*t the Oihce, Railway Wharf. STORING. The Company ia now prepared to enter into arrangements for storing General MekchankisH, etc , at current rates. Tut Stokks have a line of rail running through tho building to the end of the Railway Whaif, so that all cartage, either by rail or by vcs«el, is avoided.
