Sydney, September 29. Tiik Cabinet agreed to contribute £10,000 per annum towards the subsidy required for the mail service via San Francisco, on condition that New South Wales be entitled to share the sum received for postages. The small-pox patients in quarantine remain in about the same condition. So far, there is no sign of any fresh outbreak. The s s. Triumph arrived yesterday ; the s.s. Te Anau this morning. Melbourne, September 29. In consequence of the outbreak of small-pox in Sydney, the Victol ian sanitary authorities are adopting precautionary measures to pre\ put the introduction of the disease into this colony.
Adklvidk, September 29. The Orient Company's R.M.s.s. Austral arrived from London this afternoon.
