At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cattle were dull of s,ile, but all good animal-, sold between £> and £l» each. Store cittle abundant, «md lower in price than a foitnight since. Foui -year-old stem-, of fair quality at £4 each ; others in propoitwn. Fat cattle in usual numbers weieat irregular values. Prices varied from l.Ss to 22s each. Fat sheep were better woith about 2s each. Lambs numeiou\ and at lower values : they brought from 8s to 13*, with a good enquiry throughout. Pigs weie plentiful, but in demand at satisfactoiy prices. There remains an unsatisfied demand for good young light harness horses and active medium draught. There was no noteworthy alteration in quotations. Wool, hides, and skins : An increase of quantity was pitched, but principally station and light in quality. We quote: Hides at from 2 f 'd to 3\d per lb.; skins from U Id to 3s 3d; woof, in bags, 4dto4|d. Cattle : The number of fat beasts has been below the average, but other descriptions were in usual numbers There \>.-n an upwai J tendency in value of good beef.
