London, September 22. A skmi-PA\'ic has occurred on the .Stock Exchange, consequent on the politic.il uneasiness caused l>y the recent revolution in Eastern Roumelia.
London, September 23. Prince Alexander of Bulgaria has despatched a telegraphic circular to the European Powers and the Sublime Porte, in which he admits the suzerainty oi the Sultan. He further disclaims any idea of hostility towards Tnrkey, and requests the Sultan to fulfil the wishes of Bulgaria and Servia with regard to tin; settlement of the Rounielian question.
London, September 23. The Turkish Go\ eminent has issued a circular to the European Powers protesting against the action of Prince Alexander of Bulgaiia in recognising the re\ olutionary party in Roumelia. The Porte further invokes that clause in the Treaty of Berlin which allows the Turks to use military force to suppress disorder within their boundaries. It is announced that a considerable body of troops is assembled on the Turkish-lloumelia frontier, but in deference to the -wishes of Germany and Russia, they have not as yet been brought into action.
September 24. It is announced that the Sen ian army is being mobilised in consequence of the recent events in Roumelia. Considerable disaffection exists among the population in Albania, and symptoms of rebellion have been manifested. Greece is opposing the proposed unicm of, Macedonia with Bulgaria. J
[special to press association.] Loxdox, September 24. A feeling of indecision prevails in Stamboul regarding the Routuelian difficulty. A skirmish has already taken place on the frontier, whereby the rebels were prevented from destroying a bridge. The O/ar lias forbidden any of his subjects to enlist as volunteers, and h,is aKo ordered all Russian officers at present in the service of Bulgaria to resign their commands forthwith. England advises the Porte to endoa\our to amicably arrange the nutter. The Austrian Government are willing that Turkey should suppress the ie\olutioii in Roumelia. Sixty thousand Russian troops are at Kars, in Armenia.
(Krccived September 25th, 3pm) RUSSIA AND THE REVOLUTION. St. PETKRSBUHf 1 ., September 24. His Imperial Majesty the Czar has issued nn order calling upon all officers in the Russian army holding appointments in Bulgaria to resign them forthwith.
