Tho Profe-soi treated a pan of handeulfs in the most contemptuous manner, getting in and out of them with tho greatest ease, nndoKplaining his method to the audience. Owing to tho bad state of the wiMthei Mm Baldwin was unable to ie poat the clanvoyant business, but she gave what was repiosented to bo a most marvellous exhibition of thought trans-fi-ienco, which answcied tho puiposo just as well in the estimation of tho majority of the audience. Tho audience weir supplied with slips of paper upon which they placed a number of hguies, a huge piopoition of which were subsequently transcnbod on a piece of ea id boaid on the stage. Various questions ■is to the position of different figures weio answeted by Mrs Baldwin, who, dining tho whole time, was blindfolded, and finally she added up the sum with tho celenty of lightning. The entertainment concluded with tho celobiatcd " Katie King Mystery," in which Mrs Baldwin, though securely tied inside tho cabinet by one of tho committee, produced tho most sUithng manifestations which must bo seen to be fully appieciated. Tho pro fessor appeared at To Awamutu last night. He will appear nfc Kilnkihi this and Monday evening, and at Cambridge on Tuesday and Wednesday.
