At Pnkeno on Monday, a fair muster of cattle obtained re.idy buyeis, the mild season occasioning an earlier demand than usual. At Drury on Wednesday, thorp was also a full muster of stock, and although mostly cows and heifer--, sold freoly. Tho 42 acres of land m the Hunua biought l">s an <icie. At Reiiweia, on Thm -.day, d.ury cattle were plentiful, and .it lower values, useful annnils Helling .vt l!"> each. Store cattle, principally steer*, plentiful nnd in steady demand through the Hale, at a slight improvement on late values. Sheep were y.uded plentifully, but the gi eater part were in indifferent condition ; puces remained low. Well bred fonr tooth longwooled wethers at 12s e.t< h, but w t'll -fattened sheep were scarce. Pigs plentiful, store pigs in better enquiry than usual. At the Durham Yards the entries were above the average, and for those of a good stamp them was a steady competition, and with few exceptions those submitted found purchasers at an advance on the previous week's rates. Wool, hides, and skins : Supply moderate, demand steady. Good heary hides sold at 4,' d per lb. Light weights, lclntnely louei. Skins, from2i 2d to 3-i. Cattle . With the exception of dairy cow. -i. the demand has been in excess of the supply, which was s-carooly an a\eiage one, although thcio has be^n no noticeable change in \.ilue. At tho Newmarket yards, <m Tuesday, the number yarded was less than n-ual, but there w.is an advance in puces for any descuption of stock on our last week's quotations.
