Regiet is expressed that the dt-piofsion in ttade still continues. The Royal Commission which has been ap pointed to enquiie into the cause of that inncthity will give special attention to the question whether legislation cannot be piovided which will tend to alleviate tlie piesent distressing state of aflaiis in the United Kingdom. In conclusion the Speech announced that an early dissolu tion will take place, and trusts tint those eketors to whom the ftanchise has been extended by the recent Act of Pailiament will cx-erciso the powcis thus confcired .upon them with sobnety and discernment
