Ouit What.iw hata correspondent writes :—: — A new tiling in road boards was staitod heir on Monday last. In tho immediate vicinity of What<iwhnt.i, jiiit over the river, lies the parish of Karainu. The spot was at a creek which formed an impassable obstacle to a farmer (Mr Wilson) coming in from his farm, also pieventing Ins children fiom coming to school. Now a oils crt spans the creek, a hill has been cut down, and the road made fit for foot or wheel traffic.
