In the House of Commons to-day, Sir Michael Hicks-Beach stated, m reply to a question, tli.it Sir Henry Bruinmond "Wolff was accredited to Bib Majesty the Sultan in the first distance, but that he m oulcl afterwards proceed to Egypt, and endeavour to secure the peace of that country.
