[.Received July 29th, 1 20.] Sydney, July 29. The banquet given by the citizens of Sydney in honour of the return of the New Soutli Wales contingent took place last night, and proved a great success. His Excellency Lord Augustus Loftus and Admiral Tyron were present, and the assemblage included most of the leading men of the colony. A number of speeches were made congratulating members of the con» tingent on their safe return.
[Received Jiilv 29th, 1 p.m.] Hobaht, July 29. The Tainui sailed last night for New Zealand.
