CAMBRIDGE PARLIAMENTARY UNION.
Thf usual foi tnipflitly meeting of this union was held in S. Andiew's School-room on Monday evening. There was a very fair attendance. The Speaker, the Yen. Archdeacon Willis, took the chair. Tlip Parliamentary papers forwarded by Mr Whytfl were, on the motion of Mr Stewart, allowed to he on tlie table during the sittings of the House, and to bo in the custody of the Clerk during the intervals. Mi Edgar's motion tint tho lncetingH of the union be weekly instead of foitniphtl> «a-i c.n ned unanimously. It w.ii fuither agreed that the meeting-* be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings .vlteinatoly. The next meeting of the union will bo held on Tuesday evening nr\t. The New Zealand Defences Bill (Mr Keeping) was considered in coinrnittee. Tho discussion on the clauses was of an inteiesting and spinted ch.iracter, and se\eial good hpeeches weie made. Progress was repotted, and tho House adjourned at 10 o'clock.
