Ho had on the pie\ioiis day shown signs of great excitement, and had threatened to shoot hi* niece, by whom lie was accompanied. He was seaiched, but no weapon was found. Captain (Jicenstieet lemonstrated with linn, and he lephud he had taken a little too much dunk, and thanked the captain fin his warning. A few imuin afteiwaids he shot himself. The Kuapehn's total steaming time was 10 days 1") luniis.
