An Awful Warning to the Ladies.
Adam Pi 'ait, a reaideno of Warsaw, N.Y., about three yeaia ago was drawn as a juryman, and wore to couit, at Bath, a new pair of boots for tho iir3t time. They were too small for him, and although they gave him intense pain he kept thorn on all of ona day. When he removed hia boots at nigbt he found no relief from his pain and was unable to sleep. During the night his feet, legs, hands, arnn and body began to swell and his sufferings because co great that he was obliged to summon aid and was removed to hia home as soon as possible. From that day to this the pain has never left him for an instant. His joiuta are enlarged greatly, whila his toes, feet and hands are swollen to three times their natural size. The flesh on some portions of hia body is shrunken and withered. He w entirely helpless and cannot leave his ohair without help, and has to ba fed like a shild. Mr. Plaffs sufferings are at times terrible to witness and he pr<-.y3 for deatb. — Nen York Tinier.
