LIKUTEKVVT-OoL. H. P. Pk VCOCK and Captain Yate have tfone to Herat, to which place the Boundary Commission is now proceeding. The Boundary Commission h.is moved to lfer.it, at the request of (he Afghan authorities, in order to direct the works being carried out j for the defence of that place.

Russia claims what practically amounts to the command of the Zulfikar Pass, and the Czar offers to refer the matter to the Afghan Frontier Commission, but the Marquis of Salisbury has decided to accede to tins.
