It Must Have Rained Alligators.
just oeyoncl tne limits of our town a gentleman has been engaged in building a large bnok chimney. When he quitted work last Friday evening the hole dug in the ground where he was at work was quite dry. On the following morning, when he returned to work, he found in the hole a little water and a young alligator, about a foot long. It had rained a little during the night, so he could very readily account for the water in the hole, but how to account for the alligator has been the mystery of the week. The question is, where did the alligator come from? Somebody please explain,
