Mi Holmes said if that power were given to magistrates they would ceitainly enfoice it, piobably in cases were the father was unable to paj foi maintenance. The motion w as agreed to. Mi Stout mo\ed the second reading of the Municipal Corpoiations Bill, explanning that it was meiely a Consolidation Bill which had aheady paused the other Chambei.
