It it nearly four miles long, about a mile wide, from 100 to 400 feet high, and must obviously coatain millions «i tons of land. It is impossible to find a particle of aand larger than a pin's haaaL This bill ia not stationary, but rolls slowly eastward, the wind gathering it up on tha west end, bearing it alouf^ thu ridge and then depositing it again at tke eiat, end.
