Tho Durham Yards were well supplied, .md some strangers of good stamp attracted attention, and competition was good throughout the sale. Cattle : Tho supply of fat and dairy stock has been an average one, and although a limited number of stores wore brought forward, they were quite sufficient for requirements, and values remain unaltered. The Newmarket Yards* had an adequate number of fat beasts and dainos numerically, but few good covvh were yarded. The midwinter salo at Papakura is unually a small one, and this year proved no exception. There was no noteworthy alteration in any description of stock. We quote beef from 18ft to 21s per IOOHw. Sheep wero yarded m less than usual numbers at Ncwmaikot on Tuesday, but prices had no consequent upward tendency, but were firm at last week's quotations. Wethers sold from 13s 6d to lfii ; ewes. 11s 3d to 12s (id ; lambs, 8* 9d to 10s. Pigs : Short supply ; there remain* an unsatisfied demand.

Binmcy anij Co. report that at their weekly tale on Tuesday of wool, hides, skins and tallow, the market wan largely stocked with hides, and prices show a downward tendency against last quotations.
