Serious Charge. At the Board of Education this afternoon, some inquiry was maJe into an accusation of indecent assault perferred by a female pupil teacher in the Ohinemuri district, against a male teacher of a neighbouring school. The c* idence of the girl, whose parents reside in Anckland, was taken, and further investigation deferred.

Produce Market. Fresh butter, best quality remains the same, viz., Is 3d per lb, wholesale, but lot of pale and inferior is coming in, for which dealers are giving Is ; eggs remain at last week's quotations with a downward tendency ; good factory cheese, wholesale, 5d to (id ; Southern bran, £5 ; oats, 2s to 2s 2d.
