SUPPOSED INCENDIARISM AT PUKEKURA. Mr Wallace's Threshing Machine Burned.
A rjiKKNHixo mvchinf, the pmpeity of Mi A Wallace was destioyed by file in one ot Mr Reynolds' paddocks, I'ukekma, eaily on Saturday morning, nudei -omeuhat peculiar circnmoUnces. The machine was brought from the Rotoiangi station about s«\en d.iy« ago, and was drawn up m tho middle of the paddock, wheie it was to be «<>ikt'd, and within .ibout a chain of the ne.ui^t stack. Mr Reynolds' stacks were the last winch the machine was to thresh for the season, and as there was no huny to l>nt them thioiiffh, the machine was cleaned out on ThiiKsday, and no inflammable material was loft in, near, or about it. The Machine was last s»een all right by one of Mr Reynolds' men on Friday morning, and on Saturday morning there was nothing but the debris icmaining. No ono seems to ha\e s Ct >n the fire, and nothing whatever is known as to how the occurrence took place. The matter was immediately leported to Constable Hiennan, who instituted the u-iiial itiquiiio-i. The loss is fully covered bynisuiance. We understand a ie\vard is tohoofteied fora clue to the peipetratois of the deed.
