The schoolroom was filled with the parents of the cluldton and their friend", and an excellent programme was 1111 11 up ned for the occasion. Mr Allui, chairman of the hchool committee, occupied the chair. As a inimical tre.it, the entertainment was one of the bent that has ever bi_en given in the dutiiet. Tuck ; Hong, " Won't you tell mo why, Robin ?" Mrs Heabrooko : reading, "How we eloctod our Parson," Mr Stewart ; song, "Men of Harlech," Mr H. H. Hyatt; choruH, "Snmo Folkn," children ; song, 'lied White and Blue," Mr fiarland ; recitation, "' Mark Antony** Oration," K«v. H. R. Dewsbury. The rtcitatioiiA of Mr Stewart and Mr Dewsbury were nxcellcnt, and were received with much favour. The recitation "Kdinbnigh aftei Flnddon," by Master Budgman, was OKceediußly well rendered. "Thiee Swills of Auckland " are :ilm> duM'iving of siiecial lnontion, and " Little Noll " by Mi^s Tuck was one of the items of the evening.
