Groaning and Crying.
A French surgeon haa published a long dissertation on the benefioial intluenoe of groaning and orying on the nervous system. He oontcnds that groaning and orying are the two grand operations by whioh nature allays anguish, and that he has uniformly ob■eryed that those patients who give way to their natural feelings more speedily recover lhan those who suppose that it is unworthy a man to betray suoh symtomu of oowardioe ai •ithw to groan or to ory. That fotae p«-
tients often have a great taticfaotioo in groaning, and that hysterical patients often experience gr«>(it relief from prying, are facts which no person will deny.
