Monthly CJrvin Report. —Since the ihsiwrof our last monthly report tho market for ■bifeadstutfs has been marked by several fluctuations, owing to the varying rumours of peace or war telegraphed from day to day. The deliveries from the country during tho month have been on a very restucted scale, farmers being busy with the usual season's operations. Within the no\t few weeku, however, we anticipate a laige increase in the deliveries, as heavy stocks are still held by both fanners and speculators in tho country districts. A strong local demand on the part of shippeis and millers has helped to unpiove pi ices, and tho latter having large orders foi flour to supply a strong demand fiom both New South Wales and Queensland, have pui chased freely fiom store, thus enabling considerable parcels to go into consumption. WhkVt has advanced fully 3d dining the month, and some shippeis have had to pay 4s f.o.b.— a figure which, with latest pneeu quoted from Great Britain, leaves no margin for profit. Oais have been dull of h.ale, and, owing to Urge importations from New Zealand, piice-% ,liave not improved on those previously i tiling— vu., L'iOd to 2s lOd for medium, up to 3s for stout milling descriptions.
