Lord Wolseley advised that eighty of the New South Wales Contingent should Mbit England, and Mr Howard Vincent and others were ■willing to defray the expenses of the \ lsit.
S\dney, May 16. The nine-pounder battery with which the Colonial Artillery weie armed by the Home Government on their arm al at Suakini, has been presented to New South Wales by the War Office. The Austiv Han Contingent will embark for Sydney either by the Union Steamship Company's Arab, or the Peninsular and Oriental Company's Deekan. It is understood that the Hon. Mr Dalley has declined an honour offered him in recognition of his action in offering the services of the New South Wales contingent to England.
