His Mistake.
A very loquaoious lady once offered to bet her husband five pounds that she would nod speak a word for a week. " Done ! " said the delighted spouse, staking the money, upon which the lady put it in her pocket, observing very gravely, that she would secure it until the wager was deoided. " Zounda, madam ! " cried the husband, •' I've won it already." " Yon have mistaken the time," said the lady: " I mean the week after I am buried."
